On guarding one’s tongue. Printed by the widow and Rabinowitz brothers. At the end of the book is a prayer to be saved from Lashon Hara and gossip composed by the Chafetz Chaim to be said every day after tefilla. 14 pages. 22cm. Different conditions, generally ok to good.

Before the cover page is glued an official page from Rav Shlomo Shapira, “the head of the religious office of the JDC in Germany” with blessings and condolences for survivors. 2. Introductory book of Mikra by Professor M.Z. Segel. Published by the Jewish Agency and the Joint, Munich, 1947. 3. “Omlegale Yiddin Spalten Yamen” – stories of the Ma’apilim. Published by the Hevra Kadisha of Buenos Aires for Shoah survivors, 1948. Different sizes and conditions, generally ok to good condition.

Facsimile pages from the Communist era: 1. Seven copies of prayer pieces. 2. Three copies of a handwritten letter. 3. Shanah Tova greeting from 1960(?). 4. Three copies in Georgian handwriting. 1983-1984. These copies were made from pictures because it was forbidden to print books. Total of 14 copies. Ok to good condition.

Black and white picture. North Africa. Size: 29x38cm. Rabbi Ankova (1848-1935) was an important Moroccan rabbi of the last generation, was the first to be appointed Chief Rabbi of Morocco. After his death and over the years piyyutim and songs have been written about him. Light defects, generally good condition.

Wonderful copy bearing four pictures and the inscription “Here is the history of RavYeshayaHaLeviIsh Horowitz, who was the 9th generation descendent of the Holy Shla, died on 26th of Adar Alef, 1864, in BieshnikwitzPelech Vitebsk, born to Marat Bila who was the daughter of the sister of the AdmorHaTzemachTzedek, his maternal grandfather was the fourth generation descendent of Rabbi AharonHaGadol of Karlin, and he also descends from Rav Haim Haikel of Madura. Pictures of Rav Yosef Moshe, buried in Haifa; Rav Haim Haikel—a Shov of Piratin. Rav Shalom Shechna, buried in Tiberias. Rav Asher Yehezkel, buried in Jerusalem. There is no picture of the 5th son, Rav Mordechai Dov, rabbi in Vitebsk. Rabbi Yeshayahu Horowitz was a follower of the Tzemach Tzedek of Lubavitch. For decades after marrying his wife they did not have children, but when he was 75 during one of his visits to Lubavitch he sat at the edge of a number ofchassidim in the beit midrash of the Rebbe, and suddenly the mazkir asked him to come to the rebbe’s office. The Rebbe said that “it occurred to me in a moment of blessing that you ought to divorce your wife and marry my relative Bielka and then you would have sons.” Following the expressed wish of the Tzemach Tzedek, he divorced his first wife and gave her half his money, and married the Tzemach Tzedek’s niece, Marat Beila. The wedding took place in Lubavitch, and the Tzemach Tzedek participated in the seudat mitzvah and said a dvarchassidi that opened with “Roni Akara Lo Yalada.” After the wedding he returned to live in Bishenkovitz, and then after giving birth to 5 sons RavYeshaya died, and he is buried in his local cemetery, and then his wife and children immigrated to Israel according to the instruction of the Tzemach Tzedek. The picture is in a matching cardboard frame. Various stains, generally good condition.

Wood covered in flowery wallpaper, red in color. Inner portion is covered in flowery fabric. Height 68cm, diameter 29cm. Includes metal clasps for closing. Generally ok to good condition.

Blue velvet, faded in the middle because of the kisses of those praying. Silver string embroidery on the front of a keter torah and the letters kaf and taf, two lions holding a Star of David, and two branches. Fringes at the top also made of silver thread, partially detached. Size 34x82cm. Upper part of the velvet is cracking. Generally ok condition.

Old sets of tefillin, between 1.5-4.5cm. Different periods. Houses are closed, there are some that are really old.

One with a case dated to 1937. One dated to 1931. Various conditions, generally good.
