“Orden de oraciones Segundo el uso ebréo, en lengua ebraica yen español” – a Sfardi prayerbook in Hebrew and Spanish, printed by Pietro and Lorenzo Bragadin, Venice 1622. Hebrew and Spanish on facing pages, with parallel page numberings.

Instructions in Ladino. The Spanish translation is by Yitzhak ben Shem Tov Cavallaro, as printed in Venice 1552, with changes and additions. Catalogued in the Rare Books section of the National Library. Includes prayers for weekdays, shabbat, Rosh Chodesh (and Shabbat Rosh Chodesh), Channukah and Purim, mizmorim and amidot for the Regalim, Birkat HaOmer, Seder Taanit, Tikkun Aseret Yemei Tshuva (Amida and Avinu Malkeinu), Taanit Yachid and Birkat HaTalit. At the end is content in Spanish (originally the last leaf included a chart of Hebrew letters with the pronunciation and rules of niqqud in Spanish—this leaf is missing in this copy). Originally: [5], 535/535, [5] pages. This copy is missing the title page and the 2 leaves following, page 150-151 and the last leaf.

12cm. Antique leather binding, pretty, done by hand. Gilded page cuttings with an inscribed decoration. Stains, a few defects, overall good condition. Especially rare for this kind of text.
