Letter from the Gaon HaRav Yitzhak Yaakov Reines to the Gaon HARav Levinton in a long letter for “our yeshiva ‘Torah v’Da’at’…” in the margins of the letter are his signature and stamp. HaRav Yitzhak Yaakov Reines: 1840-1915, born in Karlin, next to Pinsk. One of the sages of Lithuanian Jewry, founded the Mizrahi movement. Known as a Talmudic prodigy even in his youth, among his compositions are: “Edut B’Yaakov,” “Hotem Tochnit,” “Orim Gedolim,” “Na’ad shel Dm’aot,” “Or Shivat HaYamim,” “Sha’arei Orah v’Simha,” “Or Hadash al Tziyyon.” Excellent condition.
