Lot 350:
Letter written on official letterhead of the Yeshiva Ramiles in Vilnius with a picture of the yeshiva, signed by the Rosh Yeshiva. Sent to the Rav Reuven HaCohen Katz, Raba”d of Petah Tikva and head of the Łomża yeshiva, in which the rabbi asks that the yeshiva in Israel receive a genius boy, diligent Torah scholar, who wishes to immigrate to Israel. The rabbi lists the boy’s qualities. At the end is his signature. HaRav Avraham Tzvi Hirsh Grodzhinsky: 1884-1944, one of the rabbis of the Mussar movement, at age 21 he was chosen by his grandfather of Slobodka to demonstrate the mussar method at the Telz yeshiva, he served as the mashgiach at the Knesset Israel yeshiva in Slobodka, established the Hebron yeshiva in Israel together with HaRav Yehezkel Sarna, during the Shoah he worked to save Jews, he was murdered by the Nazis in 1944.
