Letter from 1967 from HaRav Aryeh Levin, to the Rav Yaakov David Perlin. Good condition, written with tiny and delicate handwriting. Aryeh Levin: 1885-1969, nicknamed the “Avi HaAssirim,” because for more than 25 years, even during the British Mandate, he would walk every shabbos to visit prisoners in jail; he studied at the Volozhin yeshiva with HaRav Refael Shapira, and was ordained a rabbi by Haim Berlin; upon the founding of the state he founded the yeshiva which bears his name, Beit Aryeh, his good deeds and acts were the subject of many stories. He commanded that he not be eulogized.
