Page in the handwriting of HaRav Yehuda Patya, the “Minhat Yehuda.” Page from his book, “Beit Lehem Yehuda,” a commentary on the Sefer Etz Haim of the Maharhav. Written entirely by hand, with erasures and corrections and additions between the lines—autograph. The Gaon: 1859-1942, one of the great Kabbalists and sages of Babylon, student of the Ben Ish Hai. After he moved to Jerusalem in 1934, he studied at the Kabbalist yeshiva of HaRav HaSadeh together with his friend Rabbi Yaakov Haim Sofer, the “Kef Haim.” Compiled many books. Dealt with charms and amulets according to the Kabbalah, for many years he exorcised dibbukim and evil spirits, as he states himself in his book “HaRukhot Mesaprot.” During World War II he compiled Kabbalist prayers and organized group prayers for saving the people of Israel during the perod. He died in Av, 1942. 1 page written on two sides, one complete side and one only half (but it is a complete thought). Size is 13.5/21cm. Excellent condition.
