“Beit Aaron and Additions,” dissects the poskim of the Tanach mentioned in the two Talmuds, the Midrashim, books of Kabbalah and Drosh, and interpretations on the Masora and additions from 70 books, details on the commandments and their halachot. First edition with all of the additions. 364 pages (Friedberg 554). At the start of the book is printed a letter prohibiting trespassing from the compiler with signature of the compiler in his handwriting and stamped. HaRav Avraham David Lavat: grandfather of the Rabbi of Chabad, born in 1815, to his father HaRav Yehuda Leib; when he was 35 he became a teacher in Nikolaev, ten years later he became rabbi of the city and 40 communities in the area, headed the kollels established by the Admor “Tzemach Tzedek,” connected to the Admors of Chabad, ‘HaTzemach Tzedek,” “Maharash,” and at the end of his days he corresponded especially with the Admor the Maharash, who writes in his certificate of approval that “besides the virtue of strength that this book carries with it, it is proper for lovers of Torah…” In his introduction to the book “Kav Naki,” the Admor of Chabad tells what he heard from his mother Rebbetzin Hanna that “HaRav Avraham David excelled in his sharp wisdom, excessive talent, and wide knowledge of Talmud.” An important book in its genius and patience, one which was of course compiled without computers or technology. Excellent condition, restored defect in the title page without any missing text, size 32cm.
