Lot 299:
Mizmors for the sick, Chapter 119 of Psalms, prayers for the redemption of the soul and against the evil eye. Published by HaRav Rahamim Yosef Haim Oflatka of Prague. Jerusalem 1900, small pocket edition, 13cm. On the inside cover there is a handwritten dedication from the publisher, who signs “from me the publisher to re’ach tov from Prague,” as he tended to sign his letters. One of the great sages of Jerusalem, he was born in 1847 in Jerusalem to his father, HaRav Yitzhak Oflatka, a student of the Hatam Sofer who moved to Israel in 1838. Halachic answers from him were published in the Rishon LeZiyyon’s book and in other books from sages of his generation. He was influenced by Sfardi rabbis in Jerusalem, until he changed his handwriting to the Mizrahi-Yerushalmi style and would sign his name in the Sfardi tradition (S”t). Book in good condition. Dedication is a little blurred because of the paper.
