Sefer Shulchan Aruch Orech Haim, Warsaw edition, from 1840s. On the first page is his handwritten signature, throughout the book are dozens of notes on halachic content in his handwriting. The Gaon HaRav Menashe Sharbanai: 1881-1960. Head of a Baghdadi yeshiva. In his youth studied in the well-known Beit Zilkha midrash, was even appointed in his youth as one of the scholars of the yeshiva on the Shas, he became closer to Maran HaGaon Rabbi Yosef Haim ba’al HaBen Ish Hai, who spent time with him and answered for him the many halachic questions that would arrive for the Ben Ish Hai. He took care to learn to write Sta”m, ritual slaughter, and the laws of bris. After that he was appointed head of the Baghdad yeshiva and many of his students became geonim: Rabbi Salman Hugi Avodi, Rabbi Yehoshua Moshe, Rabbi Yaakov Mutzpi. Appointed Rabbi in many cities in Persia, compiled more than 42 texts. Only two were printed, “Agada Mekubetzet” and “Igeret HaPurim.” The glosses are written in pencil with careful handwriting.
