The book “The Pure Table” includes pious etiquette for the table and the holiness of eating, and additional ideas regarding the order of the Kiddush, directions and zemirot (songs) for the Shabbos table, the Grace After Meals, by the Holy Admor HaRav Aaron Rata (Roth), the head of the “Shomer Emunim” community. Satmar 1933. First edition. Across the title page is the private stamp of “Aaron Rata from the holy community of Satmar, may God protect her.” With his private stamp in English as well. Amongst the pages of the book are 3 glosses of 2-4 lines and a number of emendations in his holy handwriting. The Holy Rabbi Rav Aaron Rata (Roth), 1894-1947, in his youth studied in the yeshivot of Munkatch and Vác, and studied under Admorim including HaRav Tzvi Elimelech Spira of Blazowa, HaRav Yosef Rotenberg of Cassani, HaRav Yehoshua Heshel Fried of Capiche, and HaRav Yissachar Dov Rokeach of Belz. For a short time he was also with HaRav Yisrael Hagar of Vizhnitz, and about that period he wrote: “Know my dear people that I grew up without the upraising of a father and mother, and without the raising of a father and teacher in my youth, and afterwards I did not find that my soul loved to study in the ways of Hashem, and if I found people with whom to work in the ways of Hashem during the days of my youth I would travel to them even a thousand leagues or more, and on account of the fact that I didn’t find anyone I was forced to work on it by myself, although I myself have not accrued from that any benefit in the service of God until now.” Founded the “Shomrei Emunim” (Guardians of Faith) group. His holy group in Jerusalem continues his legacy, in the Toldot Aharon, Shomrei Emunim, and Toldot Avraham Yitzhak communities. His many books, “Taharat HaKodesh” (Purity of the Holiness), “Shulchan HaTahor” (Pure Table), “Shomer Emunim” (Guardian of Faith), “Mevakesh Emunah” (Asking for Belief), and more. Were released in many editions. He served God devotionally all his life through fasting and suffering. Many are masterpiece stories about him. (7) 300 pages. Generally good condition.
