Lot 381:
Llong letter spread on to 2 pages, from the General Committee of Ashkenazim Kollels of the holy cities from 1905, regarding donations and aid to immigrants from America and Russia. At the end of the letter signature of the head of the committee Hagaon Rabbi Itzele Belzer , with a seal, beneath that the signature of the other Eleven members of the Committee. Rabbi Yitzchak Blazer – great student of Rabbi Israel Salanter and continued his dissemination of the Mussar movement, genius in “pilpul” and teaching. After leaving the rabbinate in St. Petersburg, he moved to Kubna and stood at the head of Kubna’s Kollel and assisted to establish Slobodka yeshiva, where he gave over Musar lectures that influenced the audience, especially during the month of Elul. The Rabbi passed away in Jerusalem, and is buried on the Mount of Olives, his books are: Pri Itzhak, Or Israel, Kochvei Or. The letter is on an official stationery including four pages, two pages are written. General good condition, folding marks and minor blemishes.
