Lot 120:
“Kli Yakar” (“An Expensive/Dear Tool), a broad, comprehensive exegesis on the first prophets, by HaRav Shmuel Laniado, Venice 1603, first edition, (1) 3-565 pages, (Winograd 962). Before us the copy was divided into three bindings. 2. “Kli Paz” (“Gold Tool”) on the Book of Isaiah, by HaRav Shmuel Laniado, Venice 1657, (1) 256 pages, only edition, (Winograd 1330), missing the title page. There are signatures on the title “the young Yitzhak Motzri,” “the young Rahamim Motzri,” “Avraham Tuviana bar Aaron.” Throughout the book there are more than 10 long comments full of material on the Torah of which most of their content came from a great sage of the Torah. The compiler was nicknamed “Ba’al HaKelim” (Owner of the Tools): was from amongst the greats of Aleppo in the 17th century, at the time of the Arizal, HaAshlich, HaMaharhav and the Maharit, was sent by Rabbi Yosef Caro to be anointed the rabbi of Aleppo and wrote to the heads of the community “I have sent to you a man who is like me.” He died in the year 1610 approximately, is mentioned in the questions and . 4 volumes, ok to good conditions, moth damage, stains, at the end of Kli Yakar are missing 3 pages.
