“Mishnat Hahamim” (Mishnah of the Sages) gives enlightenment on the 48 foundations of acquisition by which the Torah is acquired, by the Rav Moshe Hageez (HaMeni’ah), Wannseebeck 1733, first edition (1) 138 pages. The compiler: son of Rabbi Yaakov Hageez (compiler of Halakhot Ketanot—“Small Halakhot”), was born in Jerusalem in the year 1672, received the Torah by the old head of the rabbis of Jerusalem Rabbi Moshe Galanti (HaMagen) and from the words of Rabbi Avraham Yitzhaki, the rabbi travelled in exile for 50 years: Italy, Holland and Ashkenaz; and was very active for Hashem and the Torah, writing also “Questions and Answers Regarding the Two Breads (Challah)” “Collection of the Flour” and more, had a great friendship with the sage Tzvi and his son Rabbi Yaakov Amadin, fought a righteous war against the Sabbatai Zevi messianic movement which grew in his time, according to the writings of HaHida he lived almost 90 years.
