Personal tobacco case that the Kabbalist HaRav Yitzhak Khadouri (of blessed and pious memory) would use, made from silver with engraved writing on the box “HaRav Yitzhak Khadouri, Shlita,” with engravings of those who gave the box to the rabbi—with blessing and for success, “Israel Amram ben Camila Avner ben Dalia.” The tobacco used by the tzadik is saved inside the box, and it is known that the sniffing of snuff amongst tzadikim and kabbalists was with special intentions according to the Kabbalah. The Kabbalist Rabbi Yitzhak Khadouri was born in the late 19th century in Babel (Iraq), in his youth he even knew and saw HaBen Ish Chai, received the Torah and Kabbalah from the righteous of Babel and of Jerusalem (to which he moved in 1922. In his first years in Jerusalem he made a living binding books and learned in the Beit El and “Porat Yosef” yeshivot in the Old City. With the years his knowledge on mysticism was published and many travelled to his house to receive his blessing and advice and to receive good luck charms. Died peacefully at the age of over 100 in the year 2006. Size 5×7.5cm. Weight 58g.
