He was the son of Rabbi Issachar Ber Satmar,grandson of Rabbi Mordechai Nadvorna. Served as Rebbe city in Kerala, and in – 1926 emigrated to the United States where he established his court in Pittsburgh in Pennsylvania and published in the States great saint.
