Lot 93:
Typewritten letter on the stationery of the Rebbe’s Secretariat, from Motza’ei Shabbat Kodesh Chashvan 20, 1979, to the management of one of the Lubavitcher Yeshivas in Israel. The content of the letter is interesting, indicating that the Rebbe urged the institutions to increase their activity and was the first to donate money for this purpose. The letter recalls that during the Hitva’adut on Sabbath of Cheshvan 20, the Rebbe the Rashab’s birthday, the Rebbe called all the yeshivas to make an effort to increase the number of their students. The letter also states that the Rebbe had asked to send three times a hundred and twenty dollars indicating his symbolic participation in the effort. The letter is signed by the secretary, Rabbi Chaim Mordechai Isaav Hodakov.
