Lot 48:
Kuntres Siyum Vehachnasat Sefer Torah. Published by Kehat, 1991. With 2 $1 Bills. Placed in the original plastic case that was given directly by him! Bright binding. Very good condiiton. On the inside title page, the recipient’s name.
The bills are, of course, with consecutive numbers. Very good condition.
The content of the Kuntres: the Kuntres contains two Mamarim Divrei Elokim Chaim said by the Admor on two different occasions – ד"ה "להבין ענין כתיבת ס"ת" מההתוועדות דט’ שבט תש"ל, וד"ה "פדה בשלום נפשי" on the Hitva’adut in Kislev 1980 and a Sichat Kodesh from the Hitva’adut. In addition, a letter by the Rebbe the Rayatz about Hachnasat Sefer Torah. Brown cover. Written beneath the above title "Special edition".
The Chalukah of the Kuntres
In Kislev 1990, the Jews of Morocco, headed by the Shali’ach Rabbi Yehuda Leib Raskin, began writing a Sefer Torah in honor of the Rebbe and in memory of the Rebbetzin. In Cheshvan 1961, the writing of the Sefer Torah was completed and when Rabbi Raskin came to the worldwide Kinus of the Shluchim, he brought the Sefer Torah with him for its Hachnasah to 770. The Siyum and Hachnasah took place on Sunday, the 26th of Cheshvan 1961.
Monday, the 27th of Cheshvan 1991!
At the center of the Shacharit prayer stood the first reading of the new Sefer Torah, whose Hachnasah to the Aron Kodesh of 770 was celebrated only the day before. After the reading, the Sefer Torah was returned to the Aron Kodesh, escorted with singing and dancing; the Shluchim to Morocco, Rabbi Leibel Raskin, Rabbi Shlomo Matusov and Rabbi Shalom Eidelman, dancing one beside the other near the Aron Kodesh and before the Rebbe. The Admor encouraged them with small taps on the Stender. From time to time, he turned to the crowd, encouraging them with his hand. Immediately after Shacharit, most exciting news were heard – in the eveneing the Admor will give out a Kuntres of Mamar Divrei Elokim Chaim.
At 13:30 the Admor drove to the Mikveh and at 15:15, to the Ohel, returning of the Mincha-Maariv prayers. In addiiton to the thousand Shluchim, a large crowd from nearby neighborhoods also gathered and the event looked just like in Tishrei…
After a Sichah, which came as a complete surprise, the Admor descended to where the Chalukah of dollars took place and began the Chalukah of the Kuntres of Siyum Vehachnasat Sefer Torah with two dollars for charity and a piece of Leikach ot chocholate-chip cookie. During the Chalukan, the Admor said to each and everyone "ברכה והצלחה". The Chalukah which started at 20:20 ended at 24:15…(Based on Mazkeret Netzach, p. 59).
