Large and rare photograph featuring the famed philanthropist Aharon (Harry) Fischel (1865-1948), a Jewish businessman and philanthropist who established many religious enterprises including the Harry Fischel Institute and the Harry Fischel Foundation in New York and to which he bequeathed his entire estate. The Foundation, which supports educational and charity institutions in the USA and Israel, was headed at first by Rabbi Avarahm Yitzchak Hacohen Kook. 

The photograph depicts Fischel with the members of his family, his daughter, Rivkah and her husband Rabbi Dr. Chaim Shimshon (Herbert) Goldstein, the president of the Federation of Rabbis of the USA, and their daughter, the Rebbetzin Naomi (the widow of Rabbi Shear Yashuv Hacohen, the Chief Rabbi of Haifa and member of the Chief Rabbinate Council, who headed the Harry Fischel Institute) and additional family members. 

Size of the non-framed photograph: approx. 24X19.5 cm. Mounted on matboard matching the photograph’s time. Stamp of the photo studio in New York on the lower part of the photograph. Minor blemishes to the matboard. Good overall condition.
