Lot 84:
Collection of rare calendars which are bibliographically unknown and are not in the varied libraries, "Minchat Zikaron calendar for the year… by the Gabaim and managers of the yeshiva in Safed / Zibenbergen and Silagy Kollel of Jerusalem, Safed and Tiberius…". The calendars were printed by the Shenbaum & Weiss Printery in Jerusalem. These are calendars of the years תרס"ז, תרס"ט, תר"ע, תרע"א ותרע"ב (1906-7, 1909-10, 1910-11 and 1911-12). Detached leaves. Stains. Notations and some tears. Some of the back covers are missing or not matching. Good-fair overall condition.
These calendars were published by the famed Chassidic rabbis, Rabbi Menachem Mendel Sternberg known as ‘Rabbi Mendele Deyzher’, Rabbi Gedalya Klein and Rabbi Nachum Etrog, who were the Gabaim and managers of the yeshiva and Kollel. The calendars are partly based on the Yerushalmi Calendar, yet contain unique content and dates that do not appear in other calendars such as the Hillula days of the Admorim of Deyzh, appreciation letters by the rabbis the Sdei Chemed, Rabbi Yehuda Greenwald of Satmar, Rabbi Moshe Greenwald of Chust the Arugat Habosem, the rabbis of Jerusalem headed by Rabbi Yosef Chaim Sonnenfeld and more. Important and interesting historical content which doubtfully was preserved in other copies except these.
