Sefer Chafetz Chaim by Maran Rabbi Yisrael Meir hacohen of Radin, section I and II, Warsaw 1884 edition. 78 leaves. Some tears, stains and moth perforations. Binding with a leather spine matching the time of printing – slightly blemished and partly detached. Good overall condition. 

On the title page of the book, a handwritten notation: לדורון דרשה מעיר הקודש ירושלים ת"ו. לה"ו… and the handwritten signature of the Gaon Rabbi Avraham Yosef Greenwlad, the eldest son of the Gaon Rabbi Moshe Greenwlad, the author of Arugat Habosem. His ownership stamps from the time he was Rav of Ungvar, erased and blurred. On verso of the title page, an additional signature: "שמואל ראטמאן".

Rabbi Avraham Yosef Greenwald (1878-1928) author of Shut Avnei Shoham. He served as Av Beit Din of Makova and succeeded his father as Rav of Chust and Ungvar. He also headed the yeshiva in Ungvar where many famous rabbis had studied. He passed away at a young age in 1928. His descendants include the Admorim of Papa and Skolen Shlita.
