Moth perforations and some moth damage. Stains and some other blemishes. Good overall condition.
Signatures and notations, some of them by the author’s grandsons:
– "יחיאל מיכל בהגאון מוהר"א" – the handwritten signature of Rabbi Yechiel Michl Lehrfreund, the son of Rabbi Eleizer Löw author of the Shemen Roke’ach and an addiitonal notation, apparently handwritten by him, stating he received the book from his father. Possibly, it was laso used by his famed father: "מתנה מאאמ"ו הגאון המופרסי’… מיכל".
– "ותפארת בנים אבותם, הוא אבי זקני הגאון הגדול המפורסם הצדיק מו"ה פנחס זעליג ז"ל, בעל המחבר ספר עטרת פז על רבינו הרא"ש" – this notation is in handwriting similar to that of Rabbi Eleizer Löw, author of the Shemen Rokeach; yet, we do not know this for certain. Possibly, it is his handwriting in his youth or the handwriting of his son.
– "הק’ פנחס זעליג בהרבני המנוח מוה’ משה ז"ל נכד המחבר". And an additional notation apparently also handwritten by the above Rabbi Pinchas Zelig: "קניתי לכבוד בית אבא הוא א"ז הגאון הגדול המפורסם המחבר ז"ל נ"ע. א"ד [אלו דברי] נכדו פ"ז [פנחס זעליג]".
– "שייך לי לשמי הק’ אלעזר הירשטאהל" and elsewhere: "הק’ אלעזר הערשטאהל נכד ר’ יחיאל מיכל לעהרפריינד [הנ"ל] מפ"ק? קלאסנא".
– Stamps of the Gaon Rabbi Meir Shapira of Lublin from the time he was Rav in Piotrkow. And stamps of the librray of his famed yeshiva: Yeshivat Chachmei Lublin.
