Sefer Hatakanot of Meah She’arim, "rebuilt in Jerusalem, on the north western corner of the Temple Mount… in 1874". Printed by the Zichron Shlomo Press established by the rabbinic brothers, the sons of Rabbi Y.L. Lowey. Jerusalem, 1889. 60 pp. 16 cm. Some mold stains on the margins. Small tears sloghtly affecting the text of the last leaves. Good overall condition. 

A fascinating booklet telling the story of the building of the famed neighborhood of Jerusalem, its regulations, conditions for teh sale of its houses and the rules applying to its residents, a list of its donors, the nature of the neighborhood and more. A copying of the regulations is signed by the leading rabbis of Jerusalem and stamped with an original stamp of the Ashkenazi Beit Din: "ב"ד צדק דקהל אשכנזים מעיר הקודש ירושלם תובב"א".
