At its end, varied Likutim by the author. On verso of the title page, a foreword by the author’s three sons: Rabbi Yaakov Shimshon – who succeeded his father in Kosov, Rabbi Yosef Alter and Rabbi Menachem Mendel, the Tzemach Tzaddik. In the foreword, they wrote among others that the work was titled Torat Chaim as their father had handwritten.
Contemporary binding, with a leather spine. Stains. Very good overall condition.
On verso of the front board and the title page, stamps and a handwritten signature: "יעקב פנחס שו"ב פרידמאן צפת" – Rabbi Yaakov Pinchas Friedman ben Rabbi Moshe Yehuda Leib, Shochet and Bodek of Safed, the son-in-law of Rabbi Yisrael Aharon Sofer. Shochet and Bodek, Mohel and member of the Badatz who succeeded his forefathers as Shochet of Safed. An important Vizhnitz Chassid and supervisor of Kollel Safed. See: Kesher Eitan issue 78.
