Rabbeinu sent his letter to the Tzitz Eliezer with a request that he study a Halachic/, edical question Rabbi Gestetner had received. The letter indicates Rabbeinu’s great appreciation of the Tzitz Eliezer: "הנני שולח בזה לכהד"ג שליט"א תשובה שכתבתי בדבר הנוגע להלכה למעשה, והריני לחלות פניו לעיין בדבר ולהודיעני חוות דעתו הרמתה בנדון זה גם בנוגע להצד הרפואי הכרוך בו. אקוה שהדבר לא יהא למעמסה ואתו הסליחה על הטרחתו בזה אך תורה היא…".
