The personal notebook of the famed Chassid Rabbi Chaim Mordechai Green – the manager of the Zibenbergen Kollel and Gabai of the Menachem Zion synagogue (Deyzh) – with many details and names of Chassidim from Safed – Safed, 1900-1910.
Th emajor part of the notebook is a meticulous list of the Olim LaTorah on the days of the week at the Menachem Zion synagogue of Safed, with familiar and less familar names including: Rabbi Shimshon Heiman, Rabbi Chaim Dshikevir, Mordechai Munkatch, the Chassid Gaon Rabbi Shmuel LUria and more.
The second part of the notebook includes varies lists and accounts of the Menachem Zion Kollel and Beit Midrash. The lists include fascinating and most interesting details pertaining to the Zibenbergen and Deyzh Kollel. Among the leaves of the notebook, one can find the following interesting listing: "The widow of our friend Shalom Klein to send her money since she is a poor widow…".
