"May you be blessed from Heaven with abundance, blessing and success" – rare and poetic letter of approbation handwritten and signed by Maran Rabbi Yaakov Yisrael Kanievsky, the Steipler – Bnei Brak, 1974.
Letter of recommendation given to the Gaon Rabbi Yaakov Yitzchak Sofer Rosh Metivta Derabbi Yochanan and a leading Karlin Chassid. For the Nezer Yerushalayim Kollel. Maran the Steipler writes modestly: "ואבקשה נא גם אני עני מיקירי אחב"י עמי נדב (עמינדב…)" blessing the donors and emphasizing the importance of supporting Lomdei Torah: "כין אין לנו שיור רק התורה הזאת ובזכותה אנו קיימין וכל העוזרים והמסייעים יתברכו משמים ברב טוב בשפע ברכה והצלחה והקרן קיימת לעולם הבא…"

The Gaon Rabbi Yaakov Yisrael Kanievsky (1899-1985), also known as the Steipler after his hometown. A wonderous Gaon, author of the Kehilot Yaakov series of books, which is studied by all Talmidei Chachamim of our generation. The brother-in-law and disciple of the Chazon Ish. Was also known as a wonder-worker.
