Maran the Gaon Rabbi Elchanan Wasserman used to reverently stand in his honor – manuscript – Hilchot Nidah – handwritten by the famed Gaon Rabbi Moshe Eliezer Rabinovich Av Beit Din of Sunderland – late 19th century. 

The manuscript begins with the heading: "דיני נדה הנחוצים לדעת כל איש ואשה"  and includes 9 paragraphs of Dinei Prisha and Tvilah in Yiddish. Apparently, Rabbeinu wrote the Kuntres in common language to be published and distributed among the Jews of England. To the best of our knowledge, to this day, the content of the manuscript was never printed!

The Gaon Rabbi Moshe Eliezer Rabinovich (1878-1946) Av Beit Din of Mohilov and then Sunderland, Britain. Was born in Mohilov to his father, the Gaon Rabbi David, who was the Rav of the town. Was famed for his diligence and genius. As a young man, studied at the Volozhin Yeshiva, which had reopened and was one of the few who received his Semicha from the Rosh yeshiva, the Gaon Rabbi Raphael Shapiro. Maran the Gaon Rabbi Elchanan Wasserman used to reverently stand in his honor, saying that the entire Torah is in his pocket. Succeeded his father, who had moved to England, as Rav of Mohilov. In 1923, his father became sick and he replaced him as Rav of Sunderland until his passing.
