Masechet Kiddushin, Nazir and Sotah of the Bavli Talmud, "Published by Beit Otzar Hasefarim Ezrat Torah of the Mir yeshiva in Shanghai, 1946". Separate title page for each tractate. Small edition, 26 cm. 307; 136; 102, 20 pp.. Many moth perforations. Original binding with new fabric spine and corners. Good overall condition.
Throughout the book, several stamps of Maran the Mashgi’ach, the Gaon Rabbi Yechezkel Lowenstein, the spiritual Mashgi’ach of the Mir/Ponovezh Yeshiva and a pencil notation: "מספרי מרן שליט"א". These tractates were used by Maran the Mashgi’ach already when the Mir Yeshiva was exiled from Lithuania to Shanghai, China, during the Holocaust. A Gemore steeped in the love of the Torah and studied devotedly by Maran, who took care that the Torah will not be forgotten from Yisrael.
