Sefer Shem Mishimon on Masechet Eruvin, "which is a Shitah Mekubetzet… elucidations and Chidushim on each leaf by Rabboteinu the Rishonim and Acharonim, with comments and Chidushim…" A work by Rabbi Shimon Dubinsky of Smargon, who was born in Volozhin. On his mother’s side, he was from the family of the Gaon Rabbi Chaim of Volozhin. With approbations by leading Lithuanian rabbis, Rabbi Raphael Shapira of Volozhin, Rabbi Itzeleh Blazer, Rabbi Chaim Ozer Grodzinsky and more.
Single Edition Vilna, 1903. 92 pp. 31 cm. With the rare title-cover which is not documented by the varied bibliographic records. Old binding with wear. Taped spine. Stains and moth damage. Some tears. Good overall condition.
Throughout the book, exciting stamps: "אוצר הספרים של ישיבת ‘עץ חיים’ דולאזין" and "שייך לישיבת עץ חיים דולאזין שנדב שלום עפשטיין מלאדז…." – Indeed, this item is an exciting remnant of the glorious past of what was known as The Mother of the Yeshivot – the famed Volozhin Yeshiva founded by the Tzaddik Gaon, the leading disciple of HaGra Rabbi Chaim of Volozhin, the author of the Nefesh Hachaim.
