Avihem shel Yirael – letter of recommendation for the Nezer Yerushalayim Kollel of Jerusalem – with the handwritten signature of Maran the Gaon the Mekubal Rabbi Mordechai Eliyahu, the Rishon LeZion and Chief Rabbi – Jerusalem, 1986.
The letter of recommendation was given to the Gaon Rabbi Yitzchak Sofer, a leading Karlin Chassid, for the Nezer Yerushalayim Kollel which he headed. The letter contains warm blessings to the donors: "יתברכו בכל מילי דמיטב, ברוחניות ובגשמיות, בבני חיי ומזוני רוויחי…".

The Gaon and Mekubal and Posek Rabbi Mordechai Eliyahu (1929-2010) the son of Rabbi Salman Eliyahu who was a disciple of the Ben Ish Chai and one of the leading Mekubalim of Jerusalem. In his youth, studied under leading contemporary rabbis including Maran the Chazon Ish and the Baba Sali. Was known for the power of his prayer and even the army! used to update Maran before important operations and he would say a special prayer for the safety of the soldiers with a secret group of carefully-selected Mekubalim. Authored many books on Halacha and Aggada including Darkei Halacha, Darkei Tahara, Shut Divrei Mordechai and many more.
