Kuntres the 11th of Nissan 1990 with an Enclosed Dollar Given Directly by the Rebbe - Yom Habahir, 1990

Start price: $700

Buyer's premium:

For Yom Habahir, the 11th of Nissan 1990 – the Rebbe’s 89th birthday. The Rebbe ordered to print a special edition of a Kuntres containing the Mamar "כי ישאלך בנך" that was said in 1978 and was recently edited by the Rebbe. It was printed with a

festive, light blue, shiny binding.

The eve of the 11th of Nissan 1990 , On the eve of the 11th of Nissan, after the Aravit prayer, the Rav the Rashaz Gurary approached the Rebbe to bless him for Yom Habahir on behalf of all the Chassidim. He ended his blessing with the words: "און דער רבי זאל געזונט זיין, זאל זאגן אמן כן יהי רצון." The Admor then began a Sicha of several minutes beginning with the words: "לכל לראש אמן כן יהי רצון". After more blessings, t he Admor started the Chalukah of the Kuntres to all the participants, saying to each and every one: "א כשר’ן און פריילאכען פסח."

In each Kuntres there was a dollar banknote.

The Chalukah came as a total surprise. Entire families came with their small children for the Admor’s birthday and received the Kuntres directly from him. During the Chalukah, the Rebbe’s face lit up.

At the end of the Cghalukah, the Rebbe put the Kuntres in his Siddur (where it remained until the following Chalukah in Tamuz), raised his arms to encourage the singing and went up to his room. (See: Mazkeret Netzach, pp. 33-34).

This is the Kuntres with the enclosed dollar, both in very good condition. Each with a pen notation: "מיד כ"ק אדמו"ר שליט"א".
