Two sections of the book by Rabbi Meir Barabi, Av Beit Din of Pressburg, Sefer Chidushei Halachot Maharam Barabi, Chidushim on the Shas and sermons. Section II has an approbation by Rabbi Yechezkel Landau, the Noda BiYehuda. Dhyernfurth-Prague, 1786-1992. Section I: 1, 106 leaves. Section II: [2], 107 leaves. Some moth perforations and damage. Stains and other blemishes. Blemished and perforated leather binding. Good overall condition.
Sacred copy that was owned by the Admor Rabbi Avraham Reinman Av Beit Din of Narol, a disciple of the Ohev Yisrael of Apta, Rabbi Zvi Hirsch of Ziditchov and more. And his son-in-law Rabbi Menachem Nachum Rubim of Ropshitz, the grandson of Rabbi Naftali of Ropshitz, as indicated by the notations on the flyleaves:
– "שייך להרב המאור הגאון מוהר"ר אברהם אב"ד נראל…". ורישום נוסף על שייכות העותק לרבי אברהם ריינמאן אב"ד נאראל.
– זה הספר חדושי הלכות מהר"ם ברבי שייך להחסיד המפורסים שלשלת היוחסין כקש"ת מו"ה מנחם נחום מראפטשיץ". ורישום נוסף בגב הספר עם התוספת: "חתן הרב… מו"ה אברהם ריינמאן אבדק"ק נראל….".
Items that had belonged to Rabbeinu and his family are extremely rare and almost nonexistent. This is a rare and precious gem that is usually unattainable.
On leaf 56b, lengthy handwritten notations "ואני בעני…" – not studied.
Rabbi Avraham Reinman Av Beit Din of Narol (1796-1842 the son and successor of Rabbi Yaakov Reinman Av Beit Din of Narol, the grandson of the sister of Rabbi Shlomo of Lutzk who was a disciple of the Maggid of Mezeritch. Was a disciple of the Admorim the Ohev Yisrael of Apta, Rabbi Zi Hirsch of Ziditchov, the Chozeh of Lublin and Rabbi Menachem Mendel of Riminov. Was the son-in-law of Rabbi Yisrael Moshe of Buchach. Became Rav when he was only twenty by the order of his Rav the Chozeh and was famed as a wonder-worker. His two sons passed away in his lifetime and he was succeeded by his son-in-law Rabbi Yitzchak Meshulam Zalman Reinman. See: Yemei Zikaron Cheshvan p. 195, Nachalat Zvi V p. 55.
His son-in-law Rabbi Menachem Nachum Rubim of Narol (ca. 1820-1876), the son of Rabbi Aharon of Rimnov-Ropshitz. Was known as a sacred man who never slept at home except on Sabbath eve. His wedding in Narol was attended by many contemporary Tzaddikim and leading rabbis. Served as the Rav of the Kloiz of Husiatyn in Narol. Left many Kabbalistic and Chassidic manuscripts that were lost over the years. See: Yemei Zikaron Tevet p. 84.
The author the Gaon Rabbi Meir Barabi (1725-1789) the son of Rabbi Shaul. Av Beit Din of Pressburg for twenty-six years, since 1763. His disciples include Rabbi Daniel Prostitz, Rabbi Mordechai Bennet and Rabbi Yehuda Leib Karlburg.
