Buyer's premium:

Silver Kiddush cup – Shi’ur Rabbi Chaim Na’eh. Alongside a small silver fork. Both of them cast from blessed coins that had been received from famed Tzaddikim.

We do not know for sure who were the Tzaddikim who gave the coins from which the cup was cast; the cup, however, was inherited by Rabbi Elazar Moshe Margolis, a Chassidic Jew who followed many famed Tzaddikim. He always told his children and grandchildren that he merited following 50 Rebbes. Eventually, he settled in Chernobyl, where Rabbi Yeshaya Meshulam Zussia Twersky lived (the son of rabbi Aharon of Chernobyl). Rabbi Elazar Moshe also followed the Avir Yaakov of Sadogura, and Rabbi Yehoshua and his son, the Maharid, of Belz.

The cup was cast, hallmarked "12" indicating it was made in Poland in ca. the 19th century. On it, gentle original engravings, which were also done in Poland. Weight: 88 gr. Height: 6.5 cm. Diameter: 6.3 cm. Has been slightly repaired with tin.

The fork (which was made from the remains of the coins after the cup was cast): wirght: 23 gr. Length: 13.5 cm. Its tines are slightly bent due to usage. It too is hallmarked "12" and was made at the same time (apparently by the same manufacturer) as the cup – Poland, the 19th century.
