Buyer's premium:

Original impressive Hanukkah Menorah on a stem, a unique design combining silver and crafts. At its base, a round massive three-tiered stem to which a stylish stem is welded. To it four lions are welded and three cut leaves.

The upper part is made of a welded braided net with the fonts welded on its top. Two ornaments are screwed on both sides with a sawed star-of-David surrounded by leaves on which the verses "ערכתי נר למשיחו, אל מול פני המנורה העלה…" are engraved as well as the word Zion in the center. A fine vulture appears on the top of the ornaments.

Each font has an opening lid (one of them detached). Unique – on each font there is a gentle engraving of a digit indicating its location:  "1" "2" etc. Welded onto the eighth font is a base for the matching Shamash, which does not have a lid – apparently due to the Chassidic custom of using wax candles for the Shamash.

Our expert concluded that this stylish Hanukkah lamp was made in Israel-Palestine in the 1930s-1940s. Weight: 439 gr. including the Shamash. Height, not including the Shamash: 24.5 cm. Some of the ornaments are slightly dented and loose – see pictures.
