Original Semicha letter – handwritten and signed by the Gaon Rabbi Yitzchak Langer Av Beit Din of Dialova – addressed to the Chassid Rav Rabbi Yaakov Shimshon Margolis – Dialova, 1919.
Rabbi Yaakov Shimshon served as a Shochet in Rabbeinu’s town for approx. six months. When he left the town, he received a Semicha letter from the Mara DeAtra Rabbi Yitzchak. The letter indicates the appreciation of the Mara DeAtra of the small community for the young Shochet and his sorrow for his leaving the town: "שמחתי מאד בשוחט כשר וישר כזה וסמכתי עליו מכל וכל… ויראת ה’ חבותה בחדרי לבבו וחרד על דבר ה’… ואמת קשה עלי פרידתו אמנם רצונו להרחיב את גבולו וה’ יהיה עמו ויצליח את דרכו…".

Fold lines. Tears along the fold lines, slighly affecting the text. Taping on verso of the leaf. Good condition.
