הצלחה לטובה בעוה"ז והקרן קיימת לעולם הבא – letter of recommendation to Rabbi Yaakov Yitzchak Sofer for his Nezer Yerushalayim Yeshiva – with special blessings and Ru’ach Hakodesh! – handwritten by Maran Rabbi Yaakov Yisrael Kanievsky – Bnei Berak, 1973.
The letter was written in Elul 1973, about a month before the outbreak of the Yom Kippur War. Among others, Maran the Steipler writes the following prophetic words: "כי אין לנו שיור אלא התורה הזאת ובזכותה אנו קיימין!!!" In those days, at this time, Amen…
Rabbeinu ends his letter with warm blessings to all those who assist: "ובוודאי כל העוזרים והמסייעים יזכו לרב טוב ברכה והצלחה לטובה בעוה"ז והקרן קיימת לעולם הבא….".

Maran Rabbi Yaakov Yisrael Kanievsky (1899-1985), also known as the Steipler after his hometown. A wonderous Gaon, author of the Kehilot Yaakov series of books, which is studied by all Talmidei Chachamim of our generation. The brother-in-law and disciple of the Chazon Ish. Was also known as a wonder-worker.
