Sefer Lechem She’arim by the Gaon Rabbi Moshe Leib ben Rabbi Yosef Shmuel Katz, Dayan of Nikolsburg. The book contains Hasagot on Sefer Sha’arei Binah that was published a year earlier by Rabbi Yitzchak Tanelis Handel (Wien, 1862) dealing with Klalei Hapskak and against the regulations written by Rabbi Zvi Hirsch Chayes against the Neologs in Ma’amar Mishpat Hahora’ah.
The author of this book defends the regulations written by the Maharatz Chayes. Published with an approbation by Rabbi Azriel Hildesheimer Av Beit Din of Eisenstadt. Single edition – Wien, 1863. 35, VIII pp. At its end, a letter by the Gaon Rabbi Chaim Yosef Pollack of Trebitsh.
Stains. Small tears along the edges. Fine new binding. Good overall condition.
A rare book that has not appeared in auctions.
