The first section that was printed of Sefer Ohel David, the famed work by Rabbi David Deutsch on Masechet Pesachim – first edition – Vienna, 1819. Printed without a title page. Originally, 12 leaves – here up to leaf 8, the rest is missing. Some of the leaves were misplaced in the binding. Bound with Ohel David on Yevamot – first edition Vienna, 1825. 22 leaves, The title page is missing. A tear to the corner of the last leaf, affecting the text. Stains. Unravelled spine. Good overall condition. 

On leaf 2 of the Yevamot section, a gloss handwritten by the author. On leaf 3, a gloss in a different square script (possibly, handwritten by Rabbi Avraham Steiner the son of Rabbi Yeshayale of Krestir). Later, approx. ten additional glosses handwritten by the author in square script, on leaf 4, referring to the Gaon M. Baruch Frankel – Rabbeinu the Baruch Ta’am. 

On the title page of the book, the signatures and stamp of Rabbi Naftali Gross (passed away in 1988) the son of Rabbi Raphael Hatzaddik Av Beis Din of Berbesht and the son-in-law of Rabbi Avraham of Kerestir. Served as Admor in Debretzin. Survived the Holocaust and eventually reached the USA, establishing a synagogue in Crown Heights. He lived for some time in Israel and in his old age, in Miami.
