Sefer Lev Aharon, expanded commentary on Nevi’im Rishonim, by the Dayan of Fes Rabbi Aharon (ben Rabbi Avraham ibn) Chaim. Lived and operated in the 15th-16th century, author of Korban Aharon on the Sifra. 

This is the commentary on the books of Yehoshua and Shoftim; apparently, no more was published. Juan Di Gar Press – first edition in the author’s lifetime – Venice, 1608. 122, [2], 129, [3] leaves. In the Rare Book Collection of the National Library. 

The commentary itself includes two sections: Be’ur and Midrash. An introduction by the author and a separate introduction by him for Sefer Shoftim. On verso of the title page, a poem by the author’s disciple Rabbi Ezra Alchadab ben Rabbi Shlomo Alchadab. At its end, a fine poem praising the book and its author. 

Quality printing on healthy paper. Engraved title page and additional engravings at the beginning of the books and more. The title page and several other leaves are professionally restored. Stains. Some varied blemishes. Moth damage – restored. New binding. Fine copy in good condition.
