Lot 13:
Volume with the three sections of the Siddur, for the days of the week, Sabbath, Sheloshet Haregalim and Yamim Noraim, according to the custom of the Jewish communities of Carpentras, Avignon, Cavaion and L’Isle sur La, Southern France. The Siddur contains prayers and customs that are unique to these early and important communities. The Siddur is in Hebrew. The title pages and instructions combine Hebrew and French. Among others, the Siddur contains (pp. 139-144): "Yom Tov of the community for a miracle that happened in Carpentras in Kislev 15 1716"; "Yom Tov of the community for a miracle that happened on Nissan 91682".
The book is titled: Rituel des prieres en hebreu, a l’usage des Israelites de l’ancien comtat, divise en trois parties… publie par Michael Milhaud. The first edition is based on the Seder Hatamid Siddur, Avignon 1767. Published in Aix (Aix-en-Provence, Southern France) in 1855. Published by Michael Milhaud. 19 cm. Three sections in a single volume. In this copy, the title covers are added to the varied bibliographic records, on thicker light-blue paper. Half-tltes for each section. Old binding with a leather spine, apparently original. Color edges. Some stains and minor blemishes. Good overall condition.

Section II – Sabbath prayers (including Parashiyot for Mincha of Sabbath and Pirkei Avot. At the end: table for the two sections of the first volume). [1], 171, [2] pp.
Section III – Pesach, Shavu’ot, Sukkot, Rosh Hashanah et Kippur. [3] leaves, 184, [3] pp.
An important and rare Siddur. In the Rare Book Collection of the National Library. Except for this copy, another one was seen only once in auctions.
