Letter handwritten and signed by the Admor Rabbi Moshe Yehoshua Hager author of the Yeshu’ot Moshe of Vizhnitz – addressed to the Gaon Rabbi Yisrael Chaim of Brisk, Dayan of Mishkoltz and Rav of Kiryat Ata – Bnei Berak, ca. 1950.
"May he recover soon and come home in perfect health" – Rabbeinu sent the letter to Rabbi Yisrael Noah, the in-law of his disciple Rabbi Chaim Gedalya Rov. Rabbi Chaim Gedalya was then sick and Rabbeinu raised funds for his treatment and for his family. In his letter, Rabbeinu, who was then Av Beit Din and Rosh Yeshiva of Vizhnit, writes: "הנני שולח פה רצוף שבעים… עבור חיים גדלי’ נ"י, יהא רעוא מן שמיא שיתרפא במהרה ויבוא בקרוב לביתו בשלימות הבריאות אכי"ר….". The Yeshu’ot Moshe then writes that he even appealed to the Mayor Rabbi Yitzchak Gerstenkorn!

The Admor Rabbi Moshe Yehoshua Hager of Vizhnitz(1916-2012) one of the greatest Admorim of our generation and president of Mo’etzet Gedolei HaTorah. Led the Vizhnitz community devotedly for approx. forty years, until his passing in 2012.
The addressee: Rabbi Yisrael Noah Brisk, the son of Rabbi Moshe Shmuel and son-in-law of Rabbi Moshe Chaim of Mishkoltz. Was a Dayan of the Beit Din of the Yagel Yaakov in Mishkoltz. After the Holocaust, served as Rav of the Cyprus Camp and was one of the leading matirei Agunot. In Israel, served as Rav of Kiryat Ata.
