Immense Hashpa’ot! A silver soup spoon that was used by Maran Rabbi Yisrael the Kedosh Yisrael of Ruzhin.

Leil Hitkadesh Hechag!

Based on the family tradition, the story of the spoon is as follows: Rabbi Elazar Moshe Margolis of Tiberius was a rooted Ruzhin Chassid and Shadar of Eretz Yisrael. His Rav wrote about him in a letter from 1846 to Rabbi Nechemya of Bechiv: "ידידי הרב החסיד בנש"ק שלשלת היוחסין". Was also mentioned by the Bat Ayin in a letter to the Rav of Ruzhin. The Saraf of Moglanitza wrote about him: "נאמן ואהוב וחביב יקר ונכבד מאד פרי קודש הרב החסיד נשוא פנים מאוד נעלה בכל מעלה…".

In 1846, as a Shadar of Eretz Yisrael, he visited his great Rav of Ruzhin on Pesach, celebrating the Seder with him. Suddenly, during Shulchan Orech, when they were eating the soup, the Rebbe called Rabbi Elazar Moshe and gave him his spoon as a gift! It should be noted that the family members guarded the spoon, using it only in Passover.

Shulchan Melachim!

The silver spoon is indeed befitting the royal table of Ruzhin. It is decorated with fine engravings of small flowers and leaves and Niello. Along the handle, a gentle twisted engraving with a stylish suffix.

Original hallmarks indicating it was made in Moscow, 1844. Weight: 52 gr. Very good condition.
