Lot 11:
Sefer Kibbutz Tefillot, which is Seder Tikkun Leil Hoshana Rabba. "Printed for the first time by the order of Aharon da Kosta Avbanda in Amsterdam…". Printed by Rabbi Avraham Atias, Amsterdam, 1733. [1], 36 leaves. [1], 269-327 leaves; 16 pp. [5] leaves. Includes the folding plates (one of them torn and lacking). 15 cm. Stains and minor blemishes. Fine original binding with a new leather spine for reinforcement. Good overall condition.
A unique work which at the time of its printing was a novelty since until then, Tikkun Leil Hoshana Rabba was always published as an appendix to Tikkun Leil Shavu’ot. This work was printed for the Chonen Dal community of Hague and it compiled for the fist time, the Tikkun and Piyyutim for Hoshana Rabba only.
Unique variant!
This copy is unique in that it includes the entire Sefer Devarim (from Tikkun Sofrim Amsterdam, 1726 with the first illustrated title page and the Spanish title page with the heading "אלה מועדי יהוד מקראי קודש" and several additional leaves with Tamei Mikra, the table of readings and more). In his introduction, the author notes that "to lessen its weight, I have not printed SEfer Eleh HaDevarim since it appears in all the Chumashim…". Indeed, in all known copies Seder Devarim does not appear. In this copy, however, the Chumash is integrated in its place with a pagination that differs from the original.
