Lot 103:
Seder Tefillat Yisrael, Siddur with prayers for all year round with the Or Hayashar commentary by the Mekubal Rabbi Meir Poppers. "Version of the Admor Hazaken of Koidanov [Rabbi Shlomo Chaim Perlow – the Admor Hazaken of Koidanov] and my great uncle of Stolin [Rabbi Aharon, the Beit Aharon of Karlin]. Printed in Vilna, 1903. VIII pp. 246, [1], 53 leaves, 24, [1] pp. Leaf I of the first pagination is missing. Fine new half-leather binding. Fine wide margins. Wear and many marks of usage. Taping and many restorations, some of them affecting the text. Moth damage. Stains. Overall condition: its first half is in fair condition and second half in good condition, typical of Chassidic prayer books which are frequently used.
Chassidic version approbated by the Admorim of Koidanov and Stolin-Karlin
On the second title page, the publisher, Rabbi Avraham Aharon Perlow of Vilieka, wrote the sequence of events pertaining to the printing of the Siddur.
First, his father, the Gaon Rabbi Yitzchak ben Rabbi Dov Moshe Perlow, published in 1877 the Or Hayashar Siddur which included the prayer version of his grandfather, the Admor Hazaken of Koidanov. The Siddur was sold out and his father reprinted it, adding corrections and additional customs of his grandfather, which were not included in the first edition. This edition was approbated by the Admor of Koidanov [Rabbi Aharon Perlow of Koidanov] and the Admor of Stolin [Rabbi Yisrael Perlow of Stolin – the Yanuka / Der Frankfurter].
At its end, Kuntres Haminhagim with a separate title page, containing the customs of the Admor Hazaken of Koidanov.
The importance of the Siddur in the Karlin Chatzer

The Admor of Kozhnitz [Rabbi Yerachmiel Moshe] prayed from Siddur Or Hayashar and noted the customs of Rabboteinu. This Siddur was even published with the approbations of Rabboteinu [the Admor the Or Yisrael approbated the Siddur and his son, the Admor of Stolin approbated the 1928 edition of the Siddur). Chassidim said that the Admor the Or Yisrael approbated a Siddur only if the sacred names appeared fully in it, not with two Yudin".
