Admor Rabbi Aharon Friedman of Boyan-Chernowitz (1890-1942) was the son of the Admor Rabbi Menachem Nachum. He was son-in-law of the Admor Rabbi Haim of Itinya, son of the Admor the Imrei Baruch of Vizhnitz and brother of the Ahavas Yisrael of Vizhnitz. He was incredibly close to his father, and after his father’s passing refused to succeed him despite the pleas of important Chassidim. He did agree to serve as head of the Volyn Kollel for the sake of not depriving its inhabitants. In 1938 he finally agreed to succeed his father. Some his Divrei Torah were included in the book Toldot Aharon. He died from typhus during the Holocaust in the city of Verkhivka.
