The order of Selichot – according to the Lithuanian custom. jerusalem 1984. [10], 500, [2] pages. 20 cm. Some stains and minor blemishes. Very good overall condition.

On the first page is an ownership inscription in handwriting “B. Zilber, 4 Abayei V’Rabba Bnei Brak”.

Rabbi Binyamin Yehoshua Zilber [1916-2008]. A remnant of the Mussar Movement, a posek and member of the Moetzet Gedolei HaTorah of Agudat Yisrael. He never held an official Torani position. He dedicated his time to studying Torah and to writing dozens of books, almost all on the topics of halacha and mussar. He held an annual ta’anit dibur for 40 days, from Rosh Chodesh Elul until Yom Kippur. Is related that his moniker ‘Binyamin HaTzadik’ was given to him by the Chazon Ish. Author of the books: Az Nedabru, Brit Olam, Makor Halacha, Shevitat Ha’Aretz, Mishnat Binyamin, Torat HaYirah, Torat HaHistaklut, as well as commentaries to the books of Rabbenu Yonah of Gerondi: Sha’arei Teshuva, Sha’arei HaAvodah, Igeret HaTeshuva, Sefer HaYirah, Orchot Chaim by the Rosh, Beit Baruch on ‘Chayei Adam’ and other books and booklets.
