The Chabadic connection and the uniqueness of this copy!

Inside the book, there is a lengthy response by the Admor Rabbi Menachem Mendel of Lubavitch – the Tzemach Tzeddek. This copy is relatively in that the title page refers to the Tzemach Tzeddek in large bold fonts. This title page is a variant and does not appear in all copies including that of the National Library.

Approbations by leading contemporary rabbis (see Hebrew catalog text).

Single edition (except for a single facsimile edition from 1991) – Warsaw, 1867. [1], 58, 28, 15, leaves. In this copy, leaves 29-32 with a eulogy are missing.

Before the Kuntres Agunot, there is a list of subscribers from Malstovka – where the author served as Rav. The list indicates the love the community felt towards their Rav, buying the copy even before it was published.

Binding reinforced with tape. Some moth perforations. Stains. Good overall condition.

On the title page, an ownership notation: "מנחם קריינהויז שו"ב דפה וואלאווקע(-?) במרומי מאריופאל פלך יעקאטערינאסלאב", and on the leaf of approbations, an addiitonal signature with additional details: "מנחם נחום בה"ר יצחק קריינהויז שו"ב (a word is erased here) דפה עיר געליצעסק פלך טאווריא (-?)". Addiitonal notations on the front flyleaf.
