Edited and published by the author’s son Rabbi Shmuel with an addition of glosses and a foreword. Printed at the printery of Rabbi Moshe Landau, the author’s grandson – first edition, Prague 1827. 86, [7] leaves. Stefansky Sifrei Yesod p. 138 of the additions.
Late, stable binding – leather spine. Some moth damage. Rigid paper. Red edges. Good overall condition.
Scholarly glosses!
On the margins of the leaves inside the book, many lengthy and significant glosses, in fine, clear calligraphic script. These comments indicate the vast knowledge of a great Talmid Chacham, who was identified as the Gaon Rabbi Shmuel ben Yissachar Freund (1795-1881) Rosh Av Beit Din of Prague who was a disciple of the Baruch Taam of Leipnik.
