Lot 234:
Sefer Pri Megadim on Yoreh Deah, scholarly work on the commentators of the Shulchan Aruch, divided into two: Mishbetzot Zahav on the Taz and Siftei Daat on the Shach, by the Gaon Rabbi Yosef Meir Teomim Av Beit Din of Frankfurt an der Oder.
Printed in Zholkva, 1811. Originally, [2], 141 leaves. This copy ends with leaf 138.
Lublin shel Mala!
Several stamps: "תיקון ספרים דביהמ"ד דאדמו"ר מהרש"א שליט"א פה לובלין" – referrin, of course, to the Gaon Rabbi Shlomo Eiger of Lublin, the son of Rabbi Akiva Eiger. The copy is worn due to usage. The margins of the sheets have many varied glosses, in several types of script. Some of them, lengthy and significant. This copy indicates the sharpness of the students of the Chassidic Beit Midrash, who were Talmidei Chachamim. Possibly, some were even handwritten by Rabbeinu Shlomo Eiger himself?
Ancient leather binding, partly detached. Fabric spine. Stains, tears and creases due to wear. Some moth perforations. Fair overall condition.
