Two Important Books: Artzot Hachaim by the Malbim - Edition Published in the Author's lifetime with Additions Warsaw, 1860 / Shem Yisrael - Single Edition Vilna, 1859

1. Artzot Hachaim on Shulchan Aruch Orach Chaim, the only halachic book by the Gaon Rabbeinu Meir Leibush, the Malbim. Sefer Artzot Hachaim is divided into three: Lev HaAretz – the version of the Shulchan Aruch and the Rema; Hameir LaAretz – references; Eretz Yehuda – elucidations on the Shulchan Aruch. 

Secrion I – up to Siman 24. Second edition with additions and corrections by the author and printed in his lifetime – Warsaw, 1860. [5], 86, [1] leaves. On verso of the second title page, the permission of the Malbim himself to the publisher followed by a foreword by the publisher, Rabbi Yehoshua Gershon Munk. Approbations from the first edition by leading rabbis: Rabbeinu the Chatam Sofer from the time he lived in Frankfurt, Rabbi Shmuel Av Beit Din of Amsterdam, Rabbi Zalman Tiktin Av Beit Din of Breslau. 

On the second title page, the handwritten signature of the editor Rabbi Yehoshua Gershon Munk "י ג מונק". On leaf 1, a handwritten correction. 

Bound with Sefer Shem Yisrael, section I, novellae and elucidations on Mishnayot Seraim. The author did not write his name on the title page, yet implied it: "מאת הכותב ידו לה’ ובשם ישראל יכונה"  – the work of Rabbi Yisrael Isser ben Rabbi Mordechai Isserlen. Single edition (not considering a single facsimile edition from 1993). The press of Rabbi Yosef Reuven ben rabbi Menachem mann Rom – Vilna, 1859. 60 leaves. 

Bound together. Partly detached binding. Stains. Some moth damage and a perforation. Good overall condition.
